I sometimes feel myself becoming brand loyal. I hate this. How do I stop it?

Simple solution: Make enough fucking money so pricing is no longer important and you'll lose the hate. Easier to get rid of the hate than brand loyalty - and why would you care which one you stop?

Are you brand loyal over the quality of the products? Some other reason like quality of service?
I'm loyal to some brands because they actually produce better products. Ranges from my choice of tires to my choice of pasta. Sometimes generic is better. No shame in paying a premium for something that is actually better. Paying 15 dollars for a bottle of tide when the 3 dollar arm and hammer does a better job is stupid though.

Realize that they'll just betray you and slip in cheap material to make a quick buck the moment they think they can get away with it.
