If a private key is just a simple string of numbers and characters what's to stop people from brute forcing into people's wallets?
It'll take them a good amount of years to brute force it. Decades? Centuries?
this is why "quantum resistant" is a buzzword.
That's where quantum computers come in. Ethereum plans to be quantum proof in the future but we'll see.
if you're just doing straight up brute force, instead of exploiting a flaw in the key itself, then you will have to brute force until the heat death of the universe.
