I'm a college dropout. I didn't drop out because I hit it big or because I didn't need it. I dropped out because I couldn't afford to keep going. I had a decent retail job, living check to check and doing school, when my business was robbed while I was on duty. During the robbery, I did something to protect the companies money at the chance of my own safety, but it was against company policy. Though I helped save the company money, I was let go after 3 years. I loved my shitty paying job, and often worked off the clock of my accord because I cared about my store. I cried and begged, not because I couldn't get another job, but because I just loved it there. I learned here in that you can give your all to the company, more than they ask for, and the company doesn't care, never cares, and can't care. Every extra minute I gave them was just a waste of my life.
