I've had the same feelings of dread but the real test to prove you have got what it takes to spot a winning development is to try your hand at spotting something else and watching to see if it moons like bitcoin. Try something outside of alts.

9 months ago you could have put everything you had into ethereum, cashed everything out at fiat at 400, (60x) bought the bitcoin dip at 1800 and purchased enough ark for your own delegate (at least 20x by now) and the remaining bitcoins on bittrex,
Then sold your bitcoin cash for bitcoin at 0.4, bought all the bch back at the dip and then split back 50pc into btc to hold once it gained more (another 20x)

Every morning while I brush my teeth I look in the mirror and my mind wanders. I think about how my life would be today if I'd put 10k in btc 2013, for a few seconds I can see it. Graduating university and being a millionaire while all my peers are looking for jobs, I wouldn't let them know how I made the money. For a few seconds I can imagine myself living a worry free life until I die, travelling the world, spending a day on a beach in Thailand drinking from a coconut. And then I snap back into reality.

This shit makes me angry and motivates me to be smarter today, to be more curious and find opportunities and jump on them at the right time.

well in my case I actually mined a bit bought things with them and my friend sold 2 of his BTC for $20. More like having the winning ticket and throwing it away.
