Accounting isnt always exciting but its very busywork which makes the days fly by. Got a comfy salary and benefits, good team, never that stressed.
Not overly worried about automation, if anything it'll make the job eaiser. The best paid jobs in the field all rely on decision making over accuracy now anyway

Assurance accounting is irreplaceable by a machine. On that note, don't touch auditing as bookkeeping will be automated and verified on blockchain soon enough (give it no more than 6-7 years, businesses love reducing their expenses to the max). Another field of accounting you might want to look into is sustainability (also known as social and environmental accounting), if you don't mind dealing with leftie cucks.
