Do any of you fuckers hold this? It's nothing nothing. I'd like to tell myself it's a safe, sensible long-term hold, but the truth is I could be making money right NOW with the money I have in Factom.
Which brings me to the conclusion... is there any sense to having 'long-term' holds in a market this volatile and full of opportunity?

It's doing nothing*
opportunity cost. Sell for a loss if you think you can make more profit.
The thing about longterm holds is that just because they're longterm doesn't mean that the growth will be steady. As soon as you sell it will moon. I finally sold my monero I'd been holding that had been pretty steady for a while to try to chase larger gains. Then over the next week monero tripled in value. .

In a market that grows as fast and is as volatile as this cryptoshit I have realised I have to take my opportunities.
I'm no expert but I've had the same sentiments as you, I HODL NEO to 50 usd and down to 35 until I finally sold.
Due to my refusal to sell I missed out on LISK, OmiseGO, Monaco etc.
At the moment I have 33% stuck in Litecoin, 33% in ICOs and the last 33% im just investing and selling in a highly reavtionary market. For example Golem made me 32% before the conference, then I put it into Qtum, and I've made some nice gains

Glad it's not just me.
I did exactly the same: yesterday I put my money from OMG and GNT into QTUM. After the 13th I'm going to take that money and put it into LISK until their rebrand goes l ive...
