I just got $500 to put into a Scottrade account. I'm supposed to use it to trade stocks, but I'm not sure if I should just pull it out and use Robinhood or invest in Crypto instead. People are warning about a crash and I'd rather not put money into stocks before a crash for obvious reasons.
I.E. what the fuck am I doing and how do I do it?

>$500
>investing in stocks
>using scottrade instead of robinhood
nice you'll have $40 a year from now if you go all in on 1 good stock. not including diversification because you can't afford commissions.

I didn't get to choose Scottrade, that's what the check was written for.

I would withdraw all of it and put it into crypto. But I have a high risk tolerance and I'd rather lose all my money than stay middle class. If you insist on stocks you should at least use robinhood.

My only issue is that I know more about stocks than I do about crypto, but I really would prefer to use Robinhood since I don't want to have to pay for each trade.

I think stocks in general are much better understood and because of that they're more likely to be efficiently priced. So the room for profits is pretty minimal compared to a new market like crypto. In the end it probably just depends on your risk tolerance. Not everyone can handle seeing their portfolio go +/- 20% daily.

I thought the big worry was that the stock market was going to crash soon.
