It's not technically college, it's adult education pre-community-college, but they are in the college and use the same tuition and scheduling system. Yes, there's clearly a reason I'm taking those classes.

Most colleges charge you by credit hour.
Ex.

>$10 per credit hour
>take 15 credit hours for this semester
>15×10=$150 for the semester
If you complete that semester and do good in classes you just earned 15 credit hours, and payed $150.

This is an example though, and no college would ever charge $10 per credit hour. It's way more expensive.

We simply don't need all the potential labor we have anymore and this trend is just going to continue as more things become automated. I personally imagine a world where humans don't do shit and robots do basically everything for us. Maybe there will be a labor tax system where a couple times a year people are forced to fix robots and such until robots can self repair and shit. All we would do is follow our passions and live ultimate NEET lifestyle. Think of almost any job and theoretically a robot/computer can do it. Need a ride? Self driving car. Commit a crime and point a gun to robot cop? It's a robot. You will die or just "kill" a robot. Need justice for that alleged crime? Try a computer system programmed in ethics and years of exp in cases
