However much bitcoin was on all the hard drives that were/will be swept away. Bitcoin will become more scarce and therefor raise the price.

but surely the price will only rise once people know the btc is lost.

I mean how much btc is already lost in wallets that people had like 10 years ago but never used. I know my brother had 100btc years ago but he will never remember the password because he's a fucking moron.

Texas had more crypto than any state but CA.

There was a lot lost, but a lot will be taken out to rebuild. Who knows if this will affect the price and how much.
>>
I dont think islanders or Mexicans are smart enough to trade crypto.

>but surely the price will only rise once people know the btc is lost.
Not true, because lost crypto becomes HODL forever, this helps stabilize and keep gains. It never sells.

Things aren't priced in btc based on the total amount of btc that's accessible, they're priced in btc based on the amount of btc in circulation - that's why whales can crash the markets by accumulating and then selling all at once. That's why when everyone holds a coin the value goes up. The btc that's lost will never circulate.
