Anybody have experience purchasing items from Alibaba and shipping them from China to the US?
The suppliers here are the only ones with Antminers in stock for under $2k w/ power supplies and I’m looking to purchase at least $100,000 worth.
Any tips? Does Alibaba protect or guarantee their sales?

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS, Buy something small from a seller first.
Alibaba is great, but there are instances of "Non insured item is liable to get stopped in customs" that is insinuated in contracts...
Lost out on 5k of high test lasers that way. Luckily I still had supply at the time.

if it's worth 100K+ you need import documents and pay import tax and fees , otherwise customs will take it at the border.

Shit, for 100k - just go there.. Wouldn't trust 100k with a fresh buyer.

So I should just request a sample? Do you know how long stuff normally takes to ship? I could be missing out on a lot of profit if it takes 2 weeks for the sample then 2 or 3 weeks for the full order— but better than losing everything I paid for at customs. :)

If it is under 100k do you not need to? How much are the taxes and fees?

As in visit their facilities or go there and bring them back somehow? Too many machines to move physically ourselves, I think anyway.
