How can a cryptocurrency have no wallet but can still be on the exchange wallet?

I dunno a lot of coins have no wallets. I have Opus in mind but I've seen a lot of others that have no destop/mobile wallet and have to be kept on the exchange.

you're probably dealing with ERC20 tokens. use myetherwallet

eth tokens can be kept in myetherwallet or some of the other eth wallets

sounds like a real solid investment OP you sure know how to spot good fundamentals

you can keep them on the exchange but that's a bad idea since the exchange have access to your key

send it to a desktop/phone wallet, back it up and be done with it
