I'm getting some money soon (around 30k€) and would like to know what's the best way i can receive that. I live in France and getting the money transfered on my french bank shouldn't be the best idea. Btw the money come from a friend who has an african bank account.

But i'm going on a short trip to NYC in 2 weeks and will probably open a bank account there.

Any tip is welcome.

Really depends on your situation... (activity, yearly income, current bank, current assets, financial knowledge

Also depends on the african country. Funds from sudan or syriaor other shitholes will trigger an immediate check up

Tbh getting 30k from a nigerian prince for literally no reason will give you so much trouble..

Getting it through crypto and then withdrawing it bit by bit seems like a decent solution in comparison.
