/biz/ help Im on ledge ready to pay more than triple retail price from an antminer from ebay.
It's roughly 8 months to break even based on todays rates. It would last at least that long right? And I can always file a claim with ebay if something goes wrong early.
Or it's about the same 3x on amazon, would that be better?
Mine only if you really want to do it.
If your in it for the money just buy the damn coin.
Mining is a pain in the ass. It's hard, Risky financially, and you could burn your house down.

I know that just buying 3k of bitcoin would be way better, but Im looking at it kind of like buying a vending machine. I want the immediate flow and the ability to collect different coins everyday on whim. It just feels different to actively have money coming in versus waiting for gains, I'm just worried I spend the money and then in 3 months the miner shits out

So your doing it for the money...
Mining is a terrible idea. It's risky financially on an already risky Bitcoin speculation, it takes lots of time to manage and set up/maintain, you could break it or burn your house down...
Do what you want but I think you would be better off just buying 3k worth and HODL.
Use the spare time you spend not messing with it and drive for Uber and buy more Bitcoin
