>Cryptocurrency's first major interaction with the world is to run up and punch the tech industry square in the fucking face

You're all fucked.
>>
>>3230665
If by punch in the face you mean generate big profits for manufacturers?
>>
>>3230678
The manufacturers have made NOTHING. They've actually lost money. They can't just manufacture infinite video cards. They have to deal with suppliers and manufacturers who themselves are also limited.

Business operations have been thrown completely off keel. Long term plans have been disrupted.

The only people to actually make money are scalpers and opportunistic retailers who have since been blacklisted from the supply chain.
>>
>>3230665

Market forces are a real motherfucker.

Supply and demand, yadda yadda.

The tech industry, as a bastion of the new economy, should appreciate basic market forces and be entirely unsurprised by price changes driven by supply constraints and a glut of demand.

Then again, you're just an edgy 16 year old gamer trying to get MAM to buy you a new video card so you can waste away fapping to Gary's Mod porn... so these concepts may be lost on you.
>>
>>3230709
And you're just some trifling gnat who likes to autistically pretend they're Gordon Gekko as you jerk off over a copy of The Art Of The Deal.
>>
>>3230698
if you loe money from increased sales yoi fucked up
>>
>>3230760

If you think that price gouging for something that's low supply / high demand is a new thing you didn't try to buy a Nintendo 64 for your kids at Christmas.
>>
>>3230698
>The manufacturers have made NOTHING. They've actually lost money.

This claim requires PROOFS

Well, the issue is that crypto mining isn't a stable demand. It isn't any market. You're not going to have crypto miners coming to any brand loyalty or stably buying these things. It's already been established. Crypto miners buying cards is just retards trying to get rich quick on the back of a dumb fad they got suckered into by people cashing out using their retarded asses.

AMD competes with NVidia in the consumer graphics market. Not just the gaming market, but also the business sectors where the tech is relevant. But the gaming market is a big thing. It isn't the 80s. Video games are a bigger industry than movies. So that's where it comes in largely.

And so AMD made these graphics cards to compete with NVidia and fight for market share. AMD's $160 and $180 cards are now $350-$450. They are /not/ equal to NVidia's $450 offering. So for the long term market where their entire business plan is based, they're sliding into oblivion. They have no ability to retain or expand or grow their business because they've been effectively poached out of the market.

And you're seeing backlash now. Even from manufacturers of NVidia cards. Because they're dealing with the same shit with the mid-range. They have brands to expand and protect. So now if you try to use a warranty on a card that's been used for crypto-mining, on-board memory will betray you and your warranty will be bounced.

Crypto-miners aren't welcome, and they're being shown the fucking door.
>>
>>3230921
And to people saying "THEY CAN JUST MAKE MORE AND MAKE INFINITE MONEY YOU FUCKING GAMER NIGGER", no. No they can't. You don't understand economics or business.

AMD has to buy the components from their cards from other companies. Those companies product limited stock at a set rate based on sustainability. Production can increase, but it means it gets a lot more expensive for everything. AMD buys their memory and shit in small, preset allotments. They can't get more than that and maintain profitability.

What's out there is what's out there. It's why you haven't seen cards being shoveled out to meet the ETH bubble over this last year. What you see is all there can feasibly be at one time.
>>
>>3230921
thats retarded.
if i wer the mnufacturer i would design a mining card and run my own farm
>>
>>3230972
>if i wer the mnufacturer i would design a mining card and run my own farm

There's nothing saying they're not doing that. And it wouldn't be a mining card they'd be using. It'd be a nitrogen-cooled array. It would grind a cryptocurrency to powder within the course of day.

This guy knows his shit folks.

I think you should separate AMD and NVIDIA from the rest of the manufacturers. To say that those two are losing money is laughable, they are way out performing the markets the last 18 months.

The rest of the hardware industry is probably suffering as gamers are unwilling to upgrade their systems do to high GPU prices. Mice, keyboard, and headset manufacturers that cater to gamers may be taking the worst of it.
>>
>>3231024
The point where AMD and NVidia may make real money is in the absolute annihilation of the second-hand video card market. Because everything back to the 700 series and beyond are being poached by people desperate to go out Californee-way and stake claim on a fucking molehill. And they're being run at 100% or more by morons who overclock with no knowledge and with no consideration for proper cooling. And then they try to sell them for 90% the cost when they die.
>>
So you are salty because your shitty videocard is too expensive to play minecraft? Or are you mad because your video card is no so expensive anymore?

Piss the fuck off kid, no one cares about your stupid games in this place.
>>
It's crazy how much salt poorfags have for missing out something that they never had to begin with

>People got suckered!
Do these idiots honestly believe people buy 10 GPUs at once not having a RIO that pays off in 4 months? That's how these get sold out

My systems were paid off years ago, and that was before all the crazy new coins. What do you even call this psychological phenomenon? Is it just a lethal dose of being bitter?
>>
>>3230665
This is why POW crypto would fail.
>>
tfw i built a miner with shitty used parts in early march, mined 24/7 on it until last week and then sold it for 50% more than i paid for the parts

thank god for stupid ppl
>>
Just make more for fucks sakes
