Yes, although maintaining the faucet is turning out to be a headache for the devs due to the ridiculous amount of third worlders solving them for a living and spamming Slack and Telegram whenever anything goes wrong. Because of that, a lot of people on Slack have been urging the devs to consider burning coins. No idea if anything like that will ever happen, but they didn't immediately reject the idea at least.

They didn't explicitly say they'd consider it, but Colin said they'd look at the options. This was said after plenty of people were urging the devs to burn coins or doing some sort of airdrop to holders. Have a look at the Slack discussion in #general on the 23rd of this month.
