I'll bump your thread to ask a very similar question. What are some good textbooks to get inspiration and stimulate ideas about how to discover patterns using techniques like data mining. I'm usually pretty good at digging stuff up through search engines but this one is tough because so much SEO shills pushing their technical analysis or price action garbage. I tried asking in a sci thread about data mining but I only got responses from what I assume where commies who where basically telling me trading is bad mkay.

No one can predict the market. There is no one algo to solve or predict upcoming dips and moons.
You can slightly improve your prediction by analyzing historical data which is the basis of TA
