eth gets metropolis late september. how high will it go? metropolis reduces the block reward from 5 to 3 (ultimately capping total supply at 100m, ironically making btc more inflationary than eth) and adds anonymous transactions. this ultimately makes eth a better store of value and currency than btc: faster, private, less inflation. also, raiden (eth's version of the lightning network) is coming shortly after that.
i think $500 is a pretty conservative estimate for mid october.

This is currently the easiest and most obvious trade. I accumulated during the sideways trading so I am sitting pretty :).
some time in 2018 eth is also getting serenity, adding pos and sharding, which already have working prototypes written in python.
at that point, eth is "complete." it'll be a decentralized supercomputer... the fastest computer in the world, actually.
long term, the entire internet will probably be hosted on eth because of how cheap, fast, and affordable it'll be. it sounds crazy, but once you understand the technology is becomes pretty obvious. also, storage capacity for the block chain isn't a problem because eth prunes its block chain.

Vitalik is such a shrewd fucker about it, too. Advocating on Twitter for the spirit of crypto to not kill chains, when he knows a third Bitcoin fork would split BTC influence further, tipping it just a little more over the edge as Metropolis inches forward.
