Yeah, I do it. I'm 27. I received a roughly $500k inheritance pretty close to the bottom of the '08 recession. I put $100k down on a $350k house in Cape Cod, MA. The other $400k I put into index funds.

My house rents for $4k/week during the summer. It's now worth over twice what I paid for it, and I'm closing on a sale soon so I can simplify my portfolio. I can already live on the dividends from my stock portfolio, so I'm just going to throw the house money in there (plus a little crypto).
