What should I be mining?

Right now I've got my main PC and 4 other old ones I slapped together mining monero at about 1.5Kh/s all up. It's returning fuck all but I sell the monero for BTC in hopes the price continues to grow and makes the power bill worth it in 5 years.

Is there something else I could be mining to return profits faster or is monero my best bet?

Do the CPUs have AES? If not, mining Monero’s just gonna lose you money.
Why not buy BTC directly?
