why would anyone create a new blockchain instead of just building on top of eth? a blockchain is just a work around for the cap theorem. eth abstracts the blockchain so that you dont think about it and the cap theorem just stops being a problem. you dont need alternative solutions to a problem thats already solved.
all of the shit coins that arent built on top of eth, except for bitcoin (since its a legacy chain) are just cash grabs. every single one of them can either be built on eth or will be buildable on eth shortly with zero knowledge proofs.
its like creating new hashing algorithms just because theyre popular at a given time. theres no point, just use sha256. if you want to get around the cap theorem just build on top of eth.
