Is it a good idea to use a trading bot? Particularly one through cryptotrader.org
Does it magnify gains for retarded daytraders such as myself or is there some sort of downside?
No
Write it yourself or give up
If you could make so much money running their bots why would they be selling them haha
Depending on exchange, if you use a bot(that you don't code yourself) check to see if you can turn off api withdrawal. If you cant, just know you are risking losing your coins once you giveyour private api into the bot

How much did you pay? In what time frame was it done? Did you even give out the strategy?
Coding a bot doesn't mean it'll guarantee you wins, you'll need a working strategy.
If someone had a literal money making machine, why the fuck would they sell it to you for any amount of money. Please tell me what coins you are in so I can make sure I don't have any

Bitcoin, Ethereum, NEO, IOTA, and stay away from OMG
I wrote two bots, Bob (C++) and Alice (PHP). Bob talks to Bittrex, and Alice tells Bob what to buy and sell. They read their commands/responses to each other out loud with text-to-speech, so my kitchen is always full of bot chatter. It's pretty comfy.
They're currently doing some basic shitcoin scalping, making ~0.02 btc per day. And sometimes they tell lame jokes.
