Will Bitcoin become the new digital gold? Or will it become obsolete due to slow transfer time and lack of innovation and become the fortran of cryptocurrency? Because in the long run I want to take all my shitcoin profits and poor it into bitcoin but I'm afraid of some other coin taking the #1 spot.

I don't think bitcoin will ever be used for regular purchases as the supply is finite. It will become the new gold imo. Although I do think some cryptocurrency will eventually be use as a primary currency. As soon as it's dumbed down for the normal fags and made somewhat stable it will catch on.

It's infinitely divisible so finite supply is a non-issue but transfer times are too fucking long.

If you watch a documentary about BTC from 2013 or 2014, the transfers are done almost instantly. Why is it so slow nowadays and what can the devs do about it?

I'm counting on it. I have my entire life's savings in BTC and put most of every paycheck towards it. If it ever crashes and burns, I lose everything and I'll have to kms.
