Has anyone on /biz/ actually made any money off their investments? And I don't mean like making a few grand here and there, do you know if anyone actually made a few million?
Ive talked to a few whales from here most are in their 30s tho

The only way you're going to make any money is if you have a lot of money already. Kind of ironic, but it's simple logic. If you have a lot of money, you can afford to be more patient with your investments and go find other things to do while they are rising. Most investors don't make money because they take profit too soon and let their losses ride for too long. Again, that simply doesn't happen as often if you're rich already because you don't overthink your investments.
The vast majority of people CANNOT rely on investing. They must rely on a solid economy from which they can grow out of. We simply do not have that available to us. Sure, some might slip through the cracks and rub it in everyone's face how successful they are. People like Mark Zuckerberg for example. But eventually, his power will diminish because people like him are now disconnected from reality.
