It's time to take the Mexpill.
There's really no reason to trade anything but Bitcoin perpetual inverse swap contracts, provided ofc you're not a pussy. I got my $2000 account liquidated on my first day yesterday shorting and I can't wait to come back.

It's the most sophisticated and professional exchange out there. Play around with their testnet server (testnet.bitmex.com) and you can use monopoly money to get a hang of the mechanics.
It's intimidating at first because you're not trading coins; you're trading contracts worth 1 USD each, and liquidation points are based on an underlying index of GDAX and Bitstamp BTC/USD, equally weighted.
Here's an interview with the no. 1 trader on Bitmex:
https://blog.bitmex.com/trader-interview-etfdeniedbot/
"Active since March, he has achieved a return on his capital at BitMEX of 23225.66%. He did not just have one lucky win at 100x – he has consistently hit it out of the park."

been curious, why does this type of trading/contracts exist? it almost seems like a made up game at way higher stakes played between traders as well as the exchange, kind of like poker or something of that sort to try and outsmart each other.
regular markets has the zero sum game as well but people are trading tokens also because they want to hold on/use them and traders are playing the volatility.
please enlighten

Trading contracts instead of actual coins allows for obscenely high leverage.
