Let's say I don't claim my bitcoin cash for another year, from my old paper wallet with bitcoin. The system will still know that I held those coins before the fork obviously, but is there any time limit to being able to get your bcc? I'm lazy and want to wait until there's better wallets/etc for it

Its like someone decided to clone bitcoins database. You already have your entry in the original so, its cloned in the copy database. It stays in the copy database until you decide to change that.
