Tell me everything I need to know about being a administrative assistant.
I speak the languages required. Just give me a quick rundown on what I need to know/do.

What you want to do when you're picking up your kneepads is look for those nice cushioned ones. Trust me it makes a big difference. Try to get the leather kind if you can afford it. I was once shopping for mine and I saw these beautiful gold plated ones but they were way, waaay out of my range. Remember you don't need that. Just a simple cushioned set should be fine. And ALWAYS bring a spare. Beyond that it's mostly just practice. Practice the motions you'll go through each day and ask for feedback. You'll get better at it.
You need to know how to be a brown nosing little bitch and you need to kiss ass.
I was an admin assistant for a summer. You need to take notes on stuff your superiors say and schedule meetings. You need to be a very good typist and be able to communicate effectively on the phone and email. Spell check your emails.
Be polite and STAY ORGANIZED. You have to deal with a ton of shit so that management doesn't have to. My #1 tip is to have a pen and notepad with you at all time, no exceptions. Hope this helps.

I think I may not be up for it. The position is there not for long and I am not as good with communicating and typing fast. I was hoping I just needed to be a slimeball.

It could be different. Every place is different.
I would try it anyway. It is good to get out of your comfort zone.
