Genuine question for anyone here who has become a consistently profitable algorithmic trader.
Do you disclose this fact to your girlfriend, friends or family? Or do you hide a server rack in your unknown second apartment and be quiet about it.
I don't want people to treat me differently nor do I want someone to attempt to break in and steal my equipment knowing what it's capable of. But I also feel I've gotten to the point where I can change their lives.

Yeah that's one of my main concerns, I've had a lot of girlfriends in the past that are absolutely terrible with money including the current one, they always end up being a drain on my finances so I stopped telling them what I do/have/make.
They always do that same shit as you've described. They don't understand that coffee they just "NEED" to buy everyday adds up to a huge chunk at year end alongside all the other nonsense they splurge on. They don't seem to understand that in the real world if they don't save money, they will be homeless one day.
