Hey /biz, it's time.
Time for me to leave my local hole-in-the-wall bank. I liked their lack of checking fees and overdraft insurance, but recently they've been dicking me over with my PIN number suddenly not working anymore and the customer service which is only available on weekdays during normal work hours.
I just wanna know, what national or online bank(s) would biz reccomend as safest and most fair? I was considering TD or KeyBank. How are these banks on fees?
And don't even bring up Wells Faggo

I personally use DollarSavingsDirect. Look it up. It was the easiest process for making a bank account I've ever had and they offer the highest APY out there (1.4%) right now. You can check this on depositaccounts.com but the point is DollarSavingsDirect seems to be extremely underrated.
People hate on it for its terrible web design but regardless it still runs extremely smoothly, there's no bullshit like with fucking WF or Citibank or Ally, and it is still FDIC insured of course and gives great returns.

Also if you're paying fees to your bank at all, you're doing it wrong. Go look up banks on Depositaccounts.com or even NerdWallet and compare. But I think DollarSavingsDirect is best.
People here will probably recommend Ally too. They're ok, I guess, and they're probably really friendly to use and people like how legit they look, but I really think it's mostly appearances. Don't be suckered into their shit because they gives you the same problems as other banks like that but people rationalize it away when trucking Ally does it or something. I already told you which bank I think is best.
