>tfw no understanding whatsoever about how to get bcc to exchange

is.. is this what getting old is like?

nah u can only sell BCC if you had your money on an exchange at the time, all other wallets are excluded
>>
>>2983613
Had mine on Electrum and claimed it.
>>
Better hodl granpa
>>
>>2983613
Are you fucking retarded?

They both share the same ledger up to the split so all private keys hold both.
You just need any wallet that supports BCH to send it by importing your private key. Although you might wanna drain it from all BTC first with a trusted BTC wallet like Electrum.
Then import your private key in a BCH wallet

so i had all my btc in bitcoin-core
i have a coinomi wallet now with bch, so i export my private keys from core, sent all that btc to a new wallet, then import those keys in coinomi/bch?

then send that to exchange?
>>

I don't know about coinomi, never used it. But your workflow is correct.
You wouldn't even need to drain the BTC, it is just a safety measure if you don't trust the BCH wallet (as you enter your private key there). There were a few fake phising wallets around a few days ago

thanks. i'm still a little unclear on what happened with my on exchange funds as it seems a number of exchanges don't really support the fork at all.

i'll probably move my stuff to a new wallet because i'm paranoid. are you going to hodl or dump?
>>
>>2983790
Yup some exchanges like coinbase just kept all the BCH to themselves instead of paying their customers out. That's why it is advisable to hold your own private keys during a chain split.

I hodl both. I believe BCH has seen its bottom for now and it could still get interesting in case Segwit shouldn't activate. Bitcoin unlimited has quite a few few followors, this is not over yet.
And I rather lose my free money than betting now on the wrong horse.
Good luck with your decision!

Private / public keys are not a new concept my dude. In fact it's why bitcoin exists.
