Yes. I know a guy who entirely sustains himself off of a weed farm in CO. As far as you aren't doing anything shady the cops there don't care.

Currently you can get decent bud for about $10 a gram in most places. Nation wide legalization could result in $5 for bottom shelf and $15-20 for top shelf. I believe we will see these kinds of prices in 4-7 years.
