i don't know. i wouldn't put my money in a local bank. the exchange rates and the whole monetary system is fucked up. say, some people (mostly government people) can get 1usd for 10bs, but most people would get 1usd for 19000bs on the black market, which is where most usd transactions occur (so of course you could sell 10usd on the black market for 190000 bolivares and get 1900 usd if you're in the government). i don't know if they'd go after me for some reason if they knew i have a few thousand dollars
