I am ideally looking for something that has branches in both Utah and Minnesota because I spend a lot of time in both states. However, if America First Credit Union is significantly better than any option that has locations in both I'll look into it. Thanks.

I didn't see any AFCU branches when I've been to Minneapolis but AFCU is everywhere in Utah. My family has used it at least since my grandparents. My understanding of banks vs Credit unions is that banks have shareholders and want to make huge profits off of loans/ investments. You said you wern't looking for a loan or anything but if you are later in life AFCU would be a good choice.

Credit unions are local and not for profit and more community based. Banks are kikes.

Unless you can get a deal with a big bank to waive all the pleb fees go with a solid local credit union or a regional bank.

There is Navy Federal Credit Union, which is national. It has the best rates on auto loans, insurance and mortgages.

But it's only for military memebers or their children. You may be able to get in if one of your parents were in.

not sure why you need branches, I have checking and savings with ally and they have good rates service and no fees, I guess their overhead is super low since it's all online.

Check to see if they have partner/affiliated credit unions in other areas. Some CUs have partnerships so you can deposit and withdraw from another CU or ATM somewhere else. Also many have apps and on-line banking where you can do most things besides cash withdrawals, even cash checks
