Hey /biz/. Do you keep your crypto on desktop wallets like Electrum? I want to, but I feel like my computer is full of malware. Have you ever gotten your crypto stolen from you? How do you make sure your PC does not have any malware?

>how do I stop getting hacked
well first off stop watching and downloading porn
reminder that literally anything can be hacked with enough time put into it
I wouldn't worry about getting hacked though, reputable hackers don't go phishing for some retards .001 btc wallet
I personally strictly use USB wallets

if you have a reasonable amount then go buy a brand new PC and use it to create paper wallet

>but I feel like my computer is full of malware.
How the fuck do you even get to this stage?
Do you have malware or not?
If you have a suspicion, you fucking fix it, as soon as you get this suspicion and make sure it won't happen again.
>Hi /adv/, do you like drinking? I want to, but I feel like I'm pregnant. Have you ever caused fetal alcohol syndrome? How do you make sure you are not pregnant?

>USB wallets
You mean like Nano Ledger and Trezor? I really don't want to put my bitcoins in there. Can't really be sure that the company that made those didn't put a way inside the USB to steal your crypto.

I feel that Paper Wallets are unsecure because the Paper Wallet maker may try to steal your coins.

How would I know if I have malware or not? For all you know there could be malware in your computer.
How do I fix it?

>How would I know if I have malware or not?
Well, did you do anything that is a known attack vector?
Did you possible fall for any of the current ways to spread malware?
Is your OS and software at a patchlevel that is vulnerable to current attacks?
Are you in a position where you might be specifically targeted?
>For all you know there could be malware in your computer.
Sure, but it's unlikely enough, because of all of the above. However, if I get to a level where I really have an amount of crypto big enough to cause me issues when I lose it, I would get an airgapped PC for it.
>How do I fix it?
install gentoo
