Why should anyone run a Bitcoin Client?
It does nothing.
You mine either nothing, or spend more money than you earn on what picking you mine.
Without speculation, there's no incentive to mine, so what happens when the price stabilises?

How does a network survive if 99.9% of users gain nothing from joining it?
