Once Segwit is implemented, wont the massively increased speed mean that Bitcoin will be even more volatile? Able to crash 50% in seconds?

Yes, sell nowwwwww
>>2899068
But anon, Im waiting for it to crash to 2k so I can buy.
>massively increased speed
Segwit doesn't increase the transaction speed by that much, it just makes it scale better, aka you dont have to wait days for your coins to arrive if there's massive trafic
However, segwit provides the framework for lightning network, which will make it very fast
but that would require ANOTHER hardfork of btc to implement
And no it will not crash, lucky for you, bitcoin is not used as a currency, its a store of value mostly

yeah, that's something I've thought about too. I don't think this will ruin BTC by any means but it will make a crazy fast market even faster

Lightning is what everyone wants though. If there is a hardfork, its going to be another dumb gook that blows up self up mining sewer oil.
Going to /biz/ just makes me happy sometimes, so many retards pouring their money into crypto gives me hope for the future

everyone wants it but the miners
and lightning network is really what miners DONT want
"why should i do all this work for the same slowly decreasing fee?????" - chinaman
so expect another shitstorm in 2025 or whenever they decide to implement it

Me to. Makes me happy we are a minority and that mots people are dumping their money in to the stockmarket. When the next crash happens im hoping it will kill this rotten society finally. Nice living in a small town. I can watch from a far as the cities cannibalize them selves and shoot people who manage to escape their containment zone.

I was talking about you and the people who think what you said even makes remotely sense
