these people are practically making new currencies based off the BTC ledger, yeah 90% of miners are going with BTC, but it doesn't mean BCC can't become a very successfull currency in the future

miners just tend not to 50% attack each other (pretty much any GPU-minable coin could be 50% attacked by miners of some other GPU-minable coin)
