OP I know you want to sell over ebay, and make a quick buck but you can think much bigger and long term.
Unless its really specialised and requires genuine skill then you'll be competing with thousands of other similar products.

Instead find a niche and spend years practising to become one of very few people in the world who can make said product. Gain reputation for high quality and expensive item.
There's short documentaries out there for things like shoe cobblers that have waiting lists for their shoes. Also japanese carpentry. People pay a lot of money for things like this.
