Someone still has to buy your shit. Someone could have dumped a bag that covered all sales of 1002-990. Your sale goes up but the price is already below it.

this is why a plain stop is sometimes safer, dumps to market (whatever that may be) once it triggers.

I set my condition floor 2-3% above my sell price to ensure the position sells upon the condition being met. I.E. 1000 condition, sell for 970-980. Gives the computer time to react to a crash.
