In Denmark, you don't have to pay taxes as long as trading is not your job.
It's seen as a 'hobby currency'.

Pretty sure you aren't obligated to. Not to mention, how would you report the value of something that fluctuates by 1000% daily?
Irs doesnt care about $100 of crypto. Which is average holding of people on this board
I've only lost money so far, so I plan to report it to offset my stock options and general stock gains. Anything beyond that and I'll claim 3000 a year (limit) until I max out my losses.

Something like 800 people reported crypto to the IRS a few years ago. It was fucking hilarious because there were 10s of thousands of people in the industry.

My CPA said, "If someone reports your trading, you'll get a letter from the IRS. Until then, fuggedaboutit." So that's what I personally am doing I'm not recommending it to anyone.
