>two days from now there will be a combination of only 6 numbers that will be worth $250 million if selected on a Mega Millions lottery ticket. This very combination of numbers is one you have ignored, while some anon might be lucky enough to have selected this combination of numbers.
Why haven't you bought thousands of lottery tickets yet /biz/?
I buy one ticket every ~180 days, because they expire after 180 days. I don't look at them until ~10 days before they expire. That way I spend most of time knowing that could have won, while only spending ~$2/year. Only mega millions or powerball if the powerball jackpot is 4x what the mega millions is.
Lotteries are a tax for people who do not understand statistics.

>Lottery is a stupidity tax meme
Nobody buys a ticket expecting to win, they buy it for shits and giggles and to masturbate for a few minutes about what they'd do with the money. It's like saying someone watching porn don't understand the difference between a video and reality. They do, they're just suspending disbelief for a minute for satisfy the human need for temporary wish fulfillment.

If you wish to win with the lottery buy shares of a startup lottery company that pays dividends.

I keep one ticket and dont look at it until I bought another one. That way Im always in a state of hope that I have a winning ticket.
I would also mention that most people who buy more than the occasional ticket, do expect to win and they get mad when they dont.
I clean parking lots and there was this chinese guy that owned a restaurant. It was a shitty restaurant with shitty food. They had really poor hygene. Got shutdown several times by the health department. Pretty much one of those kitchen nightmares that only Gordon Ramsy can save.
He used to sit on the curb outside his place at night and rub scratchers tickets. 10-20 at a time then weep when he didnt win. I think he was living there. They are gone now, probably deported back to China.
all the illegal Mexicans here sit on the corner in the morning and anyone can pick them up and they will be construction workers for them, everyday they spend all their money on scratchcards
