I've been doing the Martingale system, so I'd definitely have to lower my bets if I decrease my bankroll by that much, so the profits would grow much slower (assuming I don't get totally wiped out). I might do this anyway though just so I can have a little more fun playing. And yes, I know the odds are against me with Martingale, but I've been lucky so far.
