Nice just bought 100k
Don't worry lads. I have a plan to get out of this.
I'm going to buy in to a £5,000 poker tournament and win it.

self employed?
why are you not writing off at least £15k in expenses.
a car doing 400 miles per week at 40p a mile will eat up £8300. Thats only 80 miles a day which is completely legit

don't drive bruv
is there any other expenses I can piss away? I can literally write off everything so that I don't pay any tax assuming I can blag enough shit?

Depends what you do in the eyes of the tax man.
IT consultant here means anything that is technical, i can buy for myself personally and write it off.
My brother in law is a personal trainer and he puts about 80% of his food bill in - he says its supplements and health food for his customers.
Car is definitely the easiest one though.
You can rent a room off of your self using this - if you rent 1 room and have 5, you can claim 1/5th of your rent/mortgage.
When you do this, you can claim stuff like tea/coffee/milk/loo rolls and so on

>stuff
Be carefull to not overdo this, this can get costly.

yea, there's definitely a limit and I've known people to be heavily investigated by the tax man for it - but if you're sensible its mostly ok.
