Hi /biz/,

Anyone doing writing any cryptocurrency algotrading? I've written many different scripts, but nothing profitable yet. I'm mostly in it to learn, but it would be nice to find something even marginally profitable.

What APIs do you use? Polo's API seems to fit most my needs and it has a ton of alt-coins, so I primarily write python scripts against it.

A couple concepts that I've tried:
- pump/whale detection
- momentum
- twitter sentiment analysis

Curious to hear any advice or stories others might have.

I wrote some thing very simple that just buys at what it percieves as a low, sells at what appears to be a high, and never sells at a loss. I wrote it in like an hour so I could only paper trade (I included fees on every alleged transaction) and it made ~0.5% a day when the market is stable.

Right now my plan is to try and shove it into zenbot as a strategy, because I don't want to write the transaction mechanics, and give it around 0.1btc, but I'd like to know if anyone has anything else that trades and I could implement the script on.

Sorry, but this is nothing notable. Particularly the "when the market is stable" part.
