Lads... Look what I was invited to today.
I'm a civil servant, so my manager asked me if I wanted to attend this event in his stead because he really doesn't give a shit, but he wants to make sure that our department "seems" tech savvy, etc.
Now, I'm not way too involved in coins - I only hold around £500 worth of Bitcoins and Ethers. Since EOS are making such a song and dance about all of this, would it be silly to go all in on it? There's the whole thing with the fork which I have not been following, so my £500 is probably as good as dead. Converting back to fiat seems like a nightmare because everywhere needs my IDs, info, the names of my forefathers, etc. I'm not too bothered.
In any case, if you didn't know about it, now you do.

Thoughts? I don't even know much about EOS, but I doubt it's a shitcoin if they can get old men who don't know how to use Outlook sit around a table to discuss blockchain technology.
They have a good marketing strategy. I couldn't tell you what it does any better than Eth. Seems like a money grab with the year long ico

They are like Ether but simpler and offer a few extra functions. They are doing an ICO for the span of a year, but there is no telling how many coins will be given out. So expect some inflation pressure.

EOS hodler here... fuck I wish it would do something so I can unload my bags but at the end of it hopefully they offer some conversion to their token
> EOS is piggybacking off ETH to become its competitor
