I'm literally shaking right now. I took out a HELOC on my home to get into crypto. I am now $100k in the hole. I might lose the house if prices don't recover.
Hope you lose your house, op

Stop baiting, this board has already gone enough to shit. No one is stupid enough to borrow money to invest in something as crypto, try to find a believable story next time you try to post some shitty bait.

I was LARPing as a scammed poorfag who bought memecoins before it was cool.

OP is bait, but I 100% believe there are retards out there who did this. The first real MSM breakthru for crypto will be "This man lost his house and entire family savings on a gamble, but he's never set foot in a casino. How these "amateur investors" are making big gains - and even BIGGER losses. The danger of Bitcoins. Tonight at 10.

I sold all this cryptoshit two month ago, when it was at the very top.
Now I'm gonna sell my current flat and buy new apartments and a new car, and spend some money on chicks and booze.

>I took out a HELOC on my home to get into crypto. I am now $100k in the hole
that was dumb.
people don't realise that there is a whole field of professional investment managers that get paid to run beta-neutral portfolio's... meaning people pay good money to NOT be exposed to underlying market volatility.
1000% movement over months = a metric shit tonne of volatility.
Even IF the long term trend is up (which i don't believe it is with ETH for reasons i've posted previously) the underlying volatility makes it really dumb to trade on credit/margin unless you are an experience investor and understand how to hedge against the volatility** so that you can't lose your shirt... or in this case your home.
e.g. butterfly spreads or other long/short strategies. yes they cap your upside, but they also collar your potential losses.
