First you need to configure magacoin.conf

1. Create a text file called %APPDATA%\Magacoin\magacoin.conf

server=1
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=password123

2. Relaunch magacoin-qt to load the changes.

Then you open mine.

1. Open cmd prompt.

2. cd to your magaminer directory.

3. type out: minerd.exe -o http://127.0.0.1:5332 -u user -p password123 --coinbase-addr=ADDRESS

Set your address and your good.

I think it may have been that I needed to restart the wallet for the updated config details or something? Anyway it worked after restarting the Wallet (though I'd tried that earlier and didn't change anything the first time).

I'm using an old computer, this is 8+ years old. Would I mine faster on my i7 with GTX1070?

a million at the current reward is 4000 blocks. Thats a long time to mine with your CPU. Be careful you don't over heat it.

pretty sure you have to have a wallet on each of them and just accumulate in each wallet and transfer to one wallet when you want to.

>>

Depends on your CPU, my Pentium machine gets 8Kh/s per core/thread = 16Kh/s, while my i5 gets 16-20Kh/s per core/thread = 64-80Kh/s. You multiply the number of threads by their speed.
>>
>>2798343
The dev said, "Furthermore, brickwall technology is resistant to the oppressive globalist mining consortium", later in the thread he said he made it anti-asic/gpu and I believe it was also harder to pool as well(some guys in the thread said they couldn't get a pool working due to some settings).
>>
>>2798428
i'm on i7 and only getting 8kh/s
>>
>>2798458
From the developer, "Magacoin was designed to make it more difficult for ASICs and Mining Pools to get on the network to allow for a fair, equal launch of the coin. "
>>
>>2798472
You would then multiply 8kh/s by the number of threads you have.

download windows ready miner and wallet (save to default directory)
open wallet and let it sync, get your maga wallet code
then go into the drive your OS is on so probably C > users > (your name) > APPDATA > roaming > magacoin
in this folder right click on a blank space and select create new text document

then follow steps 1 and 2 in this post here >>2792968
you will want to save that text file as magacoin.conf and make sure you do save as and have it selected as all files instead of the default .txt

once you have the .conf file made go into your miner folder, the one that should only have 2 visible files

you're gonna create another text file but this time you're gonna copy paste this into it
>minerd.exe -o http://127.0.0.1:5332 -u user -p password123 --coinbase-addr=ADDRESS
replace address with your generated maga wallet address and then save ass
>start.bat
make sure it's all files and not .txt
if you've done everything correctly you should be able to double click on the start.bat file you just created and it will begin mining into your inputted wallet address

i'm running a noctua nh d15
amazing cooler, pretty much best non aio you can get
dark rock pro 3 is pretty good and has more of an aesthetic look I guess but i've grown to admire the poo fans, it's an acquired taste. ended up putting 4 of the noctua case fans in aswell

if you're on a poorfag budget the cryorig h7 is pretty good i hear
the old shilled cm 212 evo is a thing of the past, was great for its time but not worth it anymore imo

if you don't give a h*ck and just want to have the meanest cooling system around i'd get the kraken x61? I believe is the op model
either that or a custom loop
>TLDR
NH D15 or dark rock pro 3 (would go with d15 personally but i may be biased)

or cryorig if poorfag

>there's already a pool mining ~3 GH/s
haah waaw
>>
>>2802376
oh wtf this must be knew, wasn't aware there was a pool for this yet
basically what a pool does is allows you to get shares based on your contribution regarding your hashrate, which appears to be 24k hashes/s if you closed your background stuff

things are different when solo mining as it's dependent on finding blocks yourself which has a luck factor involved as far as i'm aware so. in a pool when a block is found you're basically paid for the amount of shares contributed to finding said block.
generally it's better to solo mine i think? in this case anyway as the difficulty is really easy currently. people mine ethereum in a pool for example because doing it solo with a typical mining rig would take many many months just to receive one payment.

>tldr
i wouldn't worry about the pool unless you have a really old dual core or something from like before 2010

>>2802737
payout frequency is never cuz you're getting scammed by that pool :^)
>>2802727
idk difficulty is probably increasing at a much higher rate as a result
>>
>>2802740
Probably, but might as well try. I already have 26000MAGA. Some people on the Bitcointalk thread said they have seen some payouts. Owner is probably doing them manually because it's a very simple pool.
>>
>>2802541

it's a fucking meme shit coin.

Nothing is ASIC resistant. Not even your washing machine, bread toaster or Microwave. They all have an ASIC inside of them. ASIC: Application Specific Integrated Circuit. It's nothing more than a piece of hardware that has it's logic programmed in it's hardware rather than it's software, making it more efficient at what it does by eliminating unnecessary functions.

And believe me: if your process is confined by the rules of logic (which every algorithm ever conceived is without any doubt), humanity will find the correct sequence of logical operators, put a billion of those processes in parallel and make an ASIC for the damn thing sooner rather than later.

The ASIC-proof algoritm is a lie. It doesn't exist, and will never exist.
>>
>>2802737
It's random for when you find a brick, I've gone a couple hours finding none then had 4 in a row within 20 mins.
>>
>>2802749
Can't stop the signal, Mal.
>>
>>2802749
why isn't there a profitable ethereum asic developed yet mr smart guy
it's been out for quite a while
>>2802761
he's mining in a pool getting 20x your hashrate stupid
>>
>>2802770
Because ETH isnt just scrypt with some basic shite changed around
>>
>>2802761
I did a lot of solo cpu mining in the last couple of days and it went that way according to the transaction record. Had a cluster in 2 hours, then nothing for 3 hours. But in this case, the pool has to dole out the funds. I just don't know when I am gonna see the shares in my wallet.
>>
>>2798649
Received :) Thanks
>>
>>2802770
And he hasn't seen a payout stupid.
>>
>>2802784
are you being dumb on purpose anon?
>>
>>2802795
We're all being dumb mining a meme coin.
>>
>>2802809
Or fucking brilliant, ahead of the curve if you know what I mean.
>>
>>2802809
life is one giant meme coin
>>
>>2802749
You're clearly not understanding. It WAS resistant in the beginning.. OP has probably mined 200K+ coins using his CPU over the last week.. while you were all being idiots.

Anyways I got ccminer with my Nvidia card pointed at the pool. 430K hashes. It was easy to set it up. Follow the pool guys instructions.

Got it from here. http://ccminer.org/
>>
>>2802809
Just get it on r/the_donald somehow and then sell it to Redditors
>>
>>2802851

the coin is literally worthless.

nobody will ever buy them from you.
>>
>>2802870
Every coin was worthless at one point. I'm still mining just in case, and don't tell me what to do. If you don't want to mine, don't.
>>
>>2802870
Just don't cry in a few months while you're buying my sweet sweet mined MAGA.
>>
>>2802869
There's a small percentage of a chance that would work and about the same chance of it getting listed on an exchange someday, that and the ease of solo cpu mining is the appeal.
>>2802851
Let us know when you get a payout since the announce thread only seems to have one person saying they received anything from the pool.
>>
>>2802851
fug
not sure if worth with gpu, might as well just keep mining eth and if it starts taking off i'll just buy a bunch
>>
>>2802905
>>2802851

I've been paid, took awhile for it to start, but its paying ~ every 10 mins now.
>>
>>2802956
I believe in the meme.

Network effects are far more valuable than buzz words. And MAGA, t_d, conservative camp is huge right now.
