Is the moment of posting a good time to short it?

You don't. You HODL and wait for it to moon.

Don't look for answers here.
Treat it like a cold shower: quick in quick out.... untill the bulls are back.... don't fll for the hold meme.... jump in, make a quick $, jump out... let the market fall/stabilize and buy in again

this
Shorting just means looking for short term gains, so you want to short it once it drops to a nice $150 or something similar. Make sure you short on leverage too, since leverage is just extra gain power. Once we see ETH move back up, you'll want to close your position and enjoy the limbo life.
If you want passive income in ETH you should buy Etheroll DICE.
They entitle you to dividends in ETH
The DAPP is still in alpha with only part of the bankroll operating so the first dividends will be smaller than when it is fully up and running, you can work out the dividend using
www.myetheroll.com
For example, 5000 etheroll will give you about 1 ETH ($200) at the first dividend payout on august the 7th. When the bankroll is increased by 18x to the full bankroll the payout will be 18 times greater so 5000 etheroll will give you 18 ETH every three months. Which is 6ETH/ month ($1200 a month at current ETH price)
This is by far the best passive income in crypto.
So you spend 20k on etheroll tokens and then you can live in cambodia like a king
