What should a jack of all trades, master of none go into?
Currently I'm studying business and non profit management.
I've worked coordinating events, worked with sales, I've been an assistant wine maker, I've worked maintenance, I've worked as a barista, I've worked customer service, I've worked front desk, I've managed blood drives, done lots of volunteer work with environmental work, I've sat on a marketing board, etc..
I've worked several different jobs, where I end up doing just about every position there. A lot of times I'll be working at 3 different jobs at a time. I don't like doing just one job, because it feels like then that's my thing and that that's now my life. I end up hating going to work. But if I work part time 2-3 different jobs 7 days a week, I love going to work every day.
I've worked at a lot of great jobs growing up. Wineries, resorts, hotels, spas, coffee shops, great restaurants, etc.
What do I do with this? How do I work with that? Our world is run on people who specialize on one thing really well, and just do that.
I don't want to do that.
Is Business and Non Profit Management a good path for me? I'd probably start as a manger of a non profit, work to being a director somewhere else. And then with those skills if I wanted to work as like a project manager at a for profit company like google? Maybe somewhere else in the business side of something like music? Maybe city development?
I see myself wanting to move from thing to thing later in life, and I don't know if that'll help me or hurt me in life.
What do you guys think? Am I far off? Am I fucked? Am I going to be alright?
