Hi guys; 23 years old don't know much about investing.
I have a question about rebalancing portfolio. I have a portfolio filled with: JNJ, XOM, KO, AMZN, DIS, GE, IBM, MMM.
I know the general idea of rebalancing is selling the ones that are performing well and buying more of the ones that are underperforming, basically trying to buy low and sell high.
So if I were to do my first rebalancing, would I try to sell/buy so that my portolfio is split evenly among all my 8 stocks?
Or should I sell more of the stocks that overperformed this year and invest more in the stocks that underperformed?
Are there any general rules to do this? All the examples Ive checked online only talk about rebalancing the different types of securities (stocks, bonds, funds, etc), but I dont know how to approach individual stocks.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
bump?

I thought something like this the first time I came to /biz/ a couple months ago. Saw people talking about DGB and I actually tried to search for that ticker symbol on my think or swim lol
