Your dollar value has lost about 75% of its value since 2008. Think of fiat as a premined coin. The Feds give the banks USD but the through regulation force banks to earn interest on those dollars. This is why even though a dollar feels like a dollar, its real value is around that of a quarter. What we keep telling you people is how someday the federal reserve isn't going to be strong enough to keep that money tied up artificial, as would be the case if everyone started pulling out their dollars from their banks OR if creditors over sell the market too much as in 2008. The dollar failing is an eventuality.
